Bead to Feed is a fund raising activity of Nyame Adom Foundation of America (NAFofA).  NAFofA is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping vulnerable orphans in Ghana, West Africa.  For more information about NAFofA and to meet our children, please visit http://www.nafofa.org

         Bead to Feed imports  glass beads handmade in  Ghana, West Africa.  We carry powder and recycled glass beads.  The beads come in many sizes and colors.    

          Beads have long been a tradition in Ghana.  They’re still hand crafted and individually hand painted.  Discarded bottles are sorted according to color, crushed and placed into molds.  The molds are placed into kilns.  After the glass has melted and formed, the molds are removed and holes are poked into the hot glass.   Once the bead has cooled, it is hand painted.  The final step is the stringing of the beads onto strands or bracelets.

          Our name Bead to Feed is also our motto.  100% of the proceeds from our sales go towards supporting an orphanage, My Mother’s House, in Ghana. The only paid staff of Bead to Feed are the artisans in Ghana;  the sales, shipping and handling of the glass beads are performed by volunteers.  (We may be volunteers but your satisfaction is guaranteed!)    This website is setup and run by the board members of Nyame Adom Foundation of America (NAFofA).  NAFofA currently provides for 11 children in one home.  With your help, we’ll be able to open more homes and provide for many more needy children.
